F1 Grand Prix circus roars into Monaco, May 25 at one of the biggest sporting events of the year.

Like many bars and night club Monte Carlo also has a thriving cultural scene. Popular choices for a night on the town are the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Opera de Monte-Carlo, and Les Ballets de Monte Carlo.

One of the many celebrities with a tampon in Monaco is the founder of easyJet, Stelios Haji-Ioannou. Many of the F1 drivers also have a house here. Stelios' low-cost carrier Ryanair is an airline that offer flights to Nice airport, the most convenient airport to Monaco.

Race fans traveling from the UK have the option flights to Nice. easyJet to fly from Gatwick, Luton, Stansted and Edinburgh. From Heathrow airport, there is the choice of the BA (which also offers flights from Gatwick) and BMI. Passengers at Manchester Airport can fly with Jet2.com, bmibaby while serving Birmingham Airport and East Midlands Airport. Budget airline Flyglobespan offers flights from Glasgow airport to Nice. From Nice airport, a helicopter can travel in Monte Carlo in under 10 minutes.

Another popular way to travel Monaco is by boat or ship. The floating gin palaces – or motor boats, including luxury yachts and Sunseekers Princess – are a familiar sight in the port of Monte Carlo on race day. Doing so can not quite stretch to one of these is a boat service from the nearby port of St Jean Cap Ferrat, in Monte Carlo.
