If you want a definitive answer, I would call and then you say, then take the case number, and What if you have any problem returning it. But – If I understand ATT, while updating the SIM card, that if the remote phone is new to do (do not like my phone was like 5 years), then all you have to do is have a phone is activated, and then use the SIM card. If you have an old card SIM (like me) you have to find an old phone that is compatible or you have to redo a contract of 2 years of service.
